Elva May Vanek

Vanek, Elva May, age 85, of Sargent, Ne. died Friday January 7, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Ne. Funeral services will be Wednesday Jan. 12th 2011 at 2 p.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Rev. Mark Stones officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday Jan. 11th 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Burial will be at the West Lawn Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Eugene, Oregon. Elva was born February 27, 1925 in Sargent, Nebraska to Noel and Minnie Amos. She attented school and graduated from Sargent High School in 1942. Elva married Charles Vanek. Charles died in 1982. Elva enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, and spending hours working in her yard. Elva Vanek is survived by her Brother Larry Amos of Oregon, Sister Delores Kluma of Ord, Ne., and sister-in-law Ella Jane Amos of Sargent, Ne. and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, and two sons Terry, and Rodney.
