Broken Bow- Leland McAbee age 84 of Broken Bow died Thursday February 3, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 5, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Broken Bow with Minister Kathy Salts and Minister Jim Gonzales officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Friday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family greeting friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials have been suggested to the Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Leland D. McAbee was born November 27, 1926 at Miller, NE to J. Lester and Mabel L. (Bramer) McAbee. He attended school at Westerville, NE and graduated from Broken Bow High School in May of 1944. He served in the Armed Forces 1952 to 1954. He was married to Sally Schaaf on July 25, 1966. To this Union three sons were born Timothy, Kevin, and Brett. Leland is survived by his wife Sally of Broken Bow, sons Timothy and wife Stacy of Ashby, Ne., Kevin and wife Lori of Broken Bow, Ne., and Brett and wife Jaime of Ansley, Ne. Grandchildren: Shailey and Zachary McAbee of Ashby, Kelsey, Riley, Destry and Wyatt of Broken Bow, Mable, BJ and Brody of Ansley.
