Ivan D Nelson

Ivan D. Nelson, age 92, of Broken Bow, Ne. died Thursday February 17, 2011 at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island, Ne. Ivan is survived by his wife Helen Nelson of Broken Bow, Ne., a daughter Judy Nelson and husband Dave Colard of Kansas City, Mo, and a son Tom Nelson of Denver, Co. Masonic and Military funeral services will be held Tuesday Feb. 22nd at 2 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday Feb 21st from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Ivan D. Nelson was born Jan. 14, 1919 at Mason City, Ne. to Axel and Ethel (Wright) Nelson. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School. Ivan served in the United States Army during WW !!. On Sept. 3, 1949, he married Helen Erazim in Grand Island. Ivan worked for Custer Public Power in Broken Bow for many years.
