Doris May Popp Doris M. Popp age 90 of Mason City, NE died March 21, 2011 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Govier Bros. Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hutson officiating.Visitation will be Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary Interment will be in the Box Elder Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Sumner or the Box Elder Cemetery perpetual care fund. Doris May Popp was born March 11, 1921 at Broken Bow, NE to Clarence and Bertha (Wolf) Palmer. She attended Plainview School District 247 and later Broken Bow High School graduating in 1939. She was united in marriage to George Popp on April 21, 1946. Survivors include two daughters Barbara (Alton) Uhlig of Broken Bow, Brenda (Ron) Pierce of Sumner, one son Merlin Popp of Mason City. 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one brother Elden Palmer of Torrington, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, one brother Lynn Palmer and one sister Mary Gilstrap.
