Beverly J. Ferguson age 70 of Ansley, NE died May 17, 2011 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Ansley with Rev. Mel Shepherd and Rolen Sell officiating. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Govier Bros. Mortuary and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Christian Church in Ansley with family present 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Memorials are suggested to Valley County Hospice.
Beverly (Whitman) Ferguson was born January 12, 1941 in Loup City, Ne to Dean and Loma (Hyatt) Whitman. Bev went to grade school in Casper, Wy. then moved back in the Arcadia- Westerville area where she attended and graduated in 1959 from Arcadia High School. Bev met Lawrence Dale Ferguson and was united in marriage Dec. 26th 1959 in a Double wedding ceremony with Virginia (Sell) and James Trotter in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. They moved to Salina, Ks. and had their first of two children Candra Lee (Ferguson) Palmer. After moving back to the Arcadia area the second child Larry Dean Ferguson was born at Broken Bow. Bev and Lawrence lived in several towns across Nebraska because Lawrence was employed on construction till 1970. Bev and Lawrence were living in Ansley, Ne. at the time of her death.
Survivors include her husband Lawrence Ferguson of Ansley, Ne. a daughter Candra and (Rod) Palmer of Ansley, Ne. A son Larry and (Gail) Ferguson of Ansley, Ne., 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grand daughter and a great grand daughter.
