Ardis R. Goodner, age 75, of Broken Bow died Tuesday May 24th, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Callaway, Ne.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 27th at 10:30 a.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Visitation will be Thursday May 26th 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers in Broken Bow, with family present 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with DAR rites. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Care Home in Callaway, Ne.
Ardis R. Goodner was born March 23, 1936 in Broken Bow, Ne. to James Wesley and Evelyn (Clay) McCaslin. She attended school in Broken Bow and Merna, graduating from Merna High School. On December 31, 1955 Ardis married Henry Edward Goodner. Ardis enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, decorating cakes, flower gardening, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include 2 daughters Terrie (Dann) Scofield of Broken Bow, Ne.. Sherri (Duane) Olson of Broken Bow, Ne., Greg (Annette) Goodner of Kearney, Ne., Ron (Cindy) Goodner of Elm Creek, Ne., and Don (Bonnie) Goodner of Kearney, Ne. 10 grandchildren, Brothers Curt (Eula) McCaslin of Hershey, Ne., Dan (Joyce) McCaslin of Broken Bow, Daryl (Jan) McCaslin of North Platte, Ne. Sisters Audrey Jones of Thedford, Ne., Cleo Purdum of Reed Point, Montana, Beverly (Jim) Goehring of Cheyenne, Wy., and Leta (Boyd) Krecji of Eustis, Ne. Ardis was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
