George T. Govier

George T. Govier, age 86, of Broken Bow, Ne. died Sat. June 4, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Callaway, Ne. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 8th, at 11 a.m. Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Rev. Duane Osnes officiating. Visitation will be Tues. June 7th 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Weissert Church of God. Survivors include 4 sons Ted Govier of Ansley, Ne., Jack (Gerri) Govier of Lexington, Ne., Tom Govier of Broken Bow, Ne., Joe Govier of Broken Bow, Ne. Four grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two sisters Mildred Whitehead of Broken Bow, and Charlotte Cash of Mullen, Ne. George was preceded in death by his wife and parents. He was born Sept. 2, 1924 in the Swiss Valley near Weissert, Ne. to Thomas and Anna (Johnson) Govier. George was married to LaOra Phillips. She died in 1999. George worked as an auto body and repair man in Broken Bow for many years.
