Delores Huhman

Delores Yvonne Huhman age 80 of Ansley, NE died June 8, 2011 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Memorial services will be held Saturday June 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A book will be available for signing at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Operation Christmas Child. Delores Yvonne Huhman was born November 13, 1930 at Eureka Valley, Nebraska to Martin Nathaniel and Josephine (Leonard) Elliott. Delores was a mother who put her six children first. Delores married Anthony “Bud” Huhman in August of 1976, who she enjoyed her life with until his death in September of 2005. Delores supported her family through thirty years of work at Becton-Dickinson. She enjoyed dancing, laughing, and a good time. She also enjoyed getting together with her girlfriends for coffee and talking for hours, whether she was playing practical jokes or telling old stories she loved leaving people with a smile. Her sense of humor carried her through the good times and the bad. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Mart and Josephine (Leonard) Elliott, her husband Anthony Huhman, a sister Mildred and husband Jim McGinn and a brother LaVerne. She is survived by her six children Mike (Kathy) Holley of Lincoln, NE., Joe (Mindy) Holley of North Platte, NE., Suzy (Mike) Farwell of Humbolt, NE., Patty (John) Stunkel of Ansley, NE., Cindy (Roger) Christy of Greeley, CO. and Mary Lou (Mike) Watkins of Cortland, NE. One brother Larry (Becky) Elliott, and a sister-in-law Marsha Elliott. Sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins and her dear friend Joann Rhoades.
