Broken Bow, NE- Robert E. Duryea age 83 of Broken Bow died Sunday June 5, 2011 at the Custer Care Center #1 in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at York, NE at 3:30 PM on Monday June 20, 2011. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 19, 1 PM to 6 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary with the family greeting friends 5 Pm to 6 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Robert E. Duryea was born on December 26, 1927 to Dick and Verna (Honeywell) Duryea at Dunning, Nebraska. Robert was married to Edna Hartley at Dunning, NE on May 23, 1953. Robert is survived by his wife Edna of Broken Bow, son Dr. Michael (Betsy) Duryea of Lakewood, CO, daughter Dr. Teresa Kay Duryea of Houston, TX, six grandchildren, and one sister Evelyn White of Broken Bow. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.
