Cameron K. Hall age 95 of Arnold died June 18, 2011 at his home. Memorial services will be Thursday June 23, 2011 at the Baptist Church in Arnold with Rev. Irving Jennings, Frank Scott officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Arnold Baptist Church Ladies or the Gandy Community Bible Church Building Project. Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow is in charge of arrangements.
Cameron Kenniston Hall passed away June 18, 2011 at his home in
Arnold, NE. at age 95 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was born January 3, 1916 to Frank Kenniston and Florence Edna (Emerson) Hall on the homestead eleven miles north of Arnold, NE.
He attended school at Climax and Hall schools through the eighth grade.
He met the love of his life, Fern Schroeder at Climax Sunday School.
On their first date they attended an outdoor silent movie at Anselmo.
Cam and Fern were married on April 3, 1937 at Aurora, NE. to this union eight children were born.
They lived in a sod house until 1949, when they moved to a new house on the ranch that they built themselves, then moved to Arnold in 1986.
Cameron ranched and trained horses most of his life. He also had many talents making and braiding rawhide, making spurs and building many of the tools used on the ranch. He was always available to help neighbors with brandings and cattle work. Cam had a special talent for horsemanship and roping, hanging up his rope at age 92.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, son’s Cameron Dee of Arnold,
Ellis (Colleen) of Minot, ND., and Lynn of Dunning. Daughters
Larraine Holm of Cave Creek, AZ., Paula (Bob) Becker of Central City, NE., Marla Krout of Arnold, Arlene (Gary) Blagdon of Stapleton, NE., and Nelda Lynn of Firestone, CO. Twenty two grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. A sister Norene Mills of Arnold, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Alta and one niece, LaClede Morris, a son-in-law Jens Holm and daughter-in-law Gladys Hall.
