Mable Beatrice Ellingson
Mable B. Ellingson age 81 of Broken Bow died July 9, 2011 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday July 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Minister Kathy Salts officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
Mable was born March 2, 1930 at Merna, NE to Everett and Viola (Sells) Mattox.
She received her education at Broken Bow Schools. She was married to Howard Ellingson in December of 1946. They made their home on a farm south of Berwyn and later moved to the farm in Round Valley. She lived in the Broken Bow area all of her life.
Mable loved her family had many friends. She always sent people cards, loved cooking, gardening and playing cards. She was a member of the Does Extension Club,she was a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow where she taught Sunday school to the little kids for several years.
Survivors include her daughter Cynthia (Ron) Rogers of Wilton, CA. two sons Galen (Peggy) Ellingson of Broken Bow and John (Diane) Ellingson also of Broken Bow, sisters Ruby Plambeck of Washington, Hazel Close of Boise, Idaho and Judy Lunkwitz of North Platte, brothers Everett Jr. (Sonny) Mattox of Iowa, Lyle and Cecil Mattox both of Broken Bow and Steve Mattox of Callway, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
