Loyd Yarrington Loyd Yarrington age 62 of Broken Bow died October 19, 2011 at the Callaway District Hospital in Callaway, NE. Funeral services will be held Monday October 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Govier Brothers Mortuary with Minister Kathy Salts officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the family. Inurnment will be at a later date. Loyd was born on March 15, 1949 at Arnold, Nebraska to Arthur and Verla (Pearce) Yarrington. Loyd attended school at Brewster and Arnold and graduated from Arnold High School in 1968. After his education he joined the Marines and served in Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged in 1970. He returned to Arnold. He married Patricia Arndt on December 5, 1970. Loyd worked on construction and later farmed. They made their home in Broken Bow and in Arnold. In 1985 they moved back to Broken Bow where they lived until his death. Loyd liked to gamble, go places, do yard work, wild horse racing in his younger days and was a good pool player. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and he especially loved his grandkids. Survivors include his wife Pat of Broken Bow, one daughter Misty (Jeff) King of Callaway, one son Shad (Marie) Yarrington of Broken Bow, one brother Larry Yarrington of San Antonio, TX., six grandchildren Jessie Yarrington, Tyler Yarrington, Codi King, Kacee King, Jacob King and Summer Yarrington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Shon, and one brother Butch
