Floyd Lehmann, age 57, of Dunning, Nebraska died March 28, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Ne.
Funeral services will be Saturday March 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Open Bible Church in Dunning, Nebraska with Rev. Ralph McKay officiating. Burial will be in the Dunning Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday March 30th, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with family present 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Floyd Carl Lehmann was born May 28, 1954 in Valentine, Ne. to Raymond and Mavis (Pierce) Lehmann. He attended rural school and graduated in 1973 from Chambers Public High. Floyd moved to Grand Island, Ne. to work at Fonner Park in the horse stables.
On November 22, 1980 Floyd married Rae Ann Saner. Floyd worked for ranchers in the O’Neill and Atkinson area. Then they moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. He worked for Fingerhut and at Larson Boat Factory for many enjoyable years. Floyd and Ray Ann returned in the Dunning area to be near family. Floyd loved helping people and being outside. Floyd enjoyed football and Bull riding in his younger years. He later became an avid fisherman and great hunter. He had many trophies and photos of his fishing and hunting adventures.
Floyd is survived by his wife Ray Ann Lehmann of Dunning, father Raymond Lehmann of Norfolk, Ne., Brothers Duane and wife Linda Lehmann of Norfolk, Ne. Dennis and wife Marion of O’Neill, Ne. sister Lois and husband Clayton Whiting of Page, Ne. Father in law and Mother in law Don and Shirley Saner of Dunning, Ne. and other relatives. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother Mavis.
