Charles "Chuck" Blakeman

Broken Bow, NE- Charles “Chuck” Blakeman age 86 of Broken Bow formerly of Merna, died May 3, 2012 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the United Methodist Church in Merna with Rev. Dale Coates officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Table Cemetery west of Merna with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 6, 2012, 4 PM to 6 PM at the United Methodist Church in Merna. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Merna Fire and Rescue or the Cliff Table Cemetery. Charles “Chuck” was born on September 5, 1925 to Wallace and Ione (Lang) Blakeman at Merna, NE. He was married to Dorothy Bauer on August 24, 1952. Mrs. Blakeman died on February 20, 1994. Chuck is survived by his son Randy (Lori) Blakeman of Merna, and daughters Charlene Blakeman of Hastings, NE, and Kathy (Steve) Broady of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister Doris Roberts of Callaway. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, and brothers: Jack, Don , and Paul and a sister Audrey.
