Archie Roberts

Archie V. Roberts, age 91, of Ansley, Nebraska died Sunday June 17th at the Nebraska Veterans Hospital in Grand Island. Funeral services will be Friday June 22th at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ansley, Ne. with Rev. Barbara Spangler officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Thursday June 21st 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Ansley United Methodist Church or the VFW of Broken Bow. Archie was born April 1, 1921 in Waco, Ne. to George and Georgia (McKarnin) Roberts. He graduated from Mason City High School. Archie served in the United States Army. Archie married Maude Lucas. Archie is survived by his wife Maude of Loup City, formerly of Ansley. 3 sons Darrell (Sylvia) Roberts of Elkorn, Ne., Gary (Karen) Roberts of Broken Bow, Ne. and Tommy (Sharon) Roberts of Loup City, Ne. 11 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren, a sister Beulah (Duane) Dorman of Powell, Wy. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters.
