Laron L. Wright, 82
Laron Lee Wright was born July 19, 1930 to John and Bertha Gosnell Wright on a farm in Lincoln County, Nebraska. He went to country schools in Logan County and graduated from Stapleton High School in 1948. He worked for the Bank of Stapleton until he was drafted into the Army on February 26, 1952. He was stationed in Bremmerhaven, Germany from August 1952 to January 1954 when he was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He then moved to Broken Bow in 1955 and worked for Broken Bow PCA until July 1968 at which time he opened Bow Agency, an insurance business. Later that year, he added tax and accounting to its services. Laron farmed and ranched in Custer County from 1955 until he sold out and moved into Broken Bow in 1980. He joined the First Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow on April 1, 1955 and has served in various positions in the church and was on the building committee that built the present church. Laron married the love of his life, Ternie Caulfield on January 21,1972. They worked at Bow Agency together and were married over 40 years at the time of his death.
Those to mourn his passing include wife, Ternie Wright of Broken Bow; two sons, Tony (Steph) Wright of Merna, Tim (Heather) Wright of Broken Bow; daughter, Tresa (Steven) Bass of Brewster; six grandsons, Griffin and Gavin Wright, Ty and Cooper Bass, Owen and Colin Wright; two brother-in-laws, Leslie Gosnell, Richard ( Linda) Caulfield);mother-in-law, Betty Caulfield; nieces, nephews and host of other family and friends.
Laron was preceded in death by a son, Terry; parents, John and Bertha Wright; two brothers, Ralph and David Greeley; sister, Grace Gosnell and father-in-law, James Caulfield.
Laron was a wonderful ,devoted son, husband, dad and granddad. His children and grandsons were the most important things in his life. His wish was to see all his grandsons graduate from high school and he will, just not here but he’ll be watching with the Lord.
Memorial may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Broken Bow, Asera Care Hospice, and Parkinsons Disease Foundation.
Services will be held on Wednesday August 8, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow. Burial at the Broken Bow Cemetary with Kathy Salts officiating. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
