Stanley Nordlund

Stanley John Nordlund, age 85,of Loup City, Ne. died Tuesday August 14, 2012 at the Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 18th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Baptist Church in Loup City, Ne. with the Rev. Del Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the Tallin Cemetery west of Callaway, Ne. at approximately 2 p.m. Visitation will be Friday August 17th, 2012 at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow 8 a.m to 8 p.m. with family present 5 to 8 p.m Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Loup City or the Homeward Trail of Mason City, Ne. Stanley J. Nordlund was born April 1, 1927 on the Tallin Table in Custer County to Axel and Mabel (Tallin) Nordlund. Surviviors included a daughter Linda (Everett) Donelson of Aurora, Col., Son James (Grace) Nordlund of Phillips, Ne., daughter Debra (John) Frost on Minot, N.D., and daughter Lucille Gay (Larry) Kennedy of Exeter, Ne. 12 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, 3 wifes, 1 granddaughter, 1 great granddaughter, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters
