Diana Fred

Sargent, NE- Diana Fred age 89 of Sargent formerly of Broken Bow died Thursday August 23, 2012 at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow. Graveside services will be held on Monday August 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Broken Bow Cemetery with Reverend Todd Karges officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 26, 1 PM to 6 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary with the family greeting friends 5 PM to 6 PM. Diane Jane Fred was born on July 15, 1923 to Marion and Letha (Tate) Hoagland at Eli, Nebraska. She attended school at Mullen, NE graduating in 1942. She then attended Chadron State College. Diana was married to Glenn Fred on June 9, 1946 at Valentine, Nebraska. The couple made their home north of Weissert, Nebraska and later Broken Bow. Mr. Fred died in 1983. Diana is survived by her daughter Tami McIntosh of Sargent, sons Jamie (Kay) Fred of Rose, Nebraska, Myron Fred of Sargent, Nebraska and adopted son Terry Derr of Denver, CO. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter, a sister Thelma Grant of Salt Lake City, UT, and a brother Larry Hoagland of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Glenn.
