Mary Stone

Broken Bow, NE- Mary Ellen (Armour) Stone age 86 of Broken Bow died Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Memorial services will be held on Saturday September 8, 2012 at 11:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating. Since Mary was a huge Husker fan, the family requests that everyone wear something red to the service. A register book may be signed at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials have been suggested to the Myotonic Dystrophy Association. Mary Ellen (Armour) Stone was born on August 13, 1926 to Ernest and Ann (Winter) Armour. On May 27, 1948 Mary was married to Richard J. “Dick” Stone. Mr. Stone died in 2008. Mary is survived by her daughter Debi and husband Wayne Garrison of Nelson, NE, son Ric and wife Cenci of Hastings, NE five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother Jimmy, two sisters and brother-in-laws Betty (Bob) Freeborn and Fran (Frank) Lannon.
