Helen A. Cole, age 91 of Broken Bow, formerly of Merna, Nebraska died Monday October 1, 2012 at Heritage Hall Care Home in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 4th at 10 a.m. in Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with Rev. Mark Stones officiating. Burial will be in the Merna Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed. Oct 3rd 8 a.m. t0 5 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials are suggested to the Anselmo-Merna School scholarship fund. Helen Cole was born November 5, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Anna Zubrzycki. She married Cecil L. Cole March 19, 1945 in Chicago. Helen is survived by 2 sons Chuck and wife Sue Cole of Merna, Ne. Gary and wife Beth Cole of Merna, Ne. 4 grandchildren Valerie Cole of Miami, Fl., Holly Cole of Kearney, Ne., Laura and husband Aaron Brooker of Omaha, and Jeff Cole of Lincoln, Ne. 1 great grandson Elias Brooker of Omaha. A brother Bruno and sister Josephine She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
