Broken Bow, NE- Clyde Loy Funeral services will be held on Friday December 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Ansley with Rev. Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday 8 AM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends 5 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in Ansley. Clyde Bernard Loy, son of Chester Sr. and Ethel (Fauss) Loy passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012. He was born on November 14, 1916 in a sod house on a farm four miles north of Ansley, NE. He attended grade school at the Gonge School and graduated from Ansley High School in 1934. After graduating. he farmed with his father on farms near Berwyn, NE. In the spring of 1949 he moved with his parents to the Elmer Eggleston farm in the Janesville Community where he continued to rent on a year to year contract until 1970. On August 21, 1956 Clyde was married to Pearl Lucille Price, oldest daughter of Ray and Bula (Brisbin) Price. They were married in the Baptist Church in Ansley. In 1970 they moved into a new home, which they had built on the farm they had purchased on mile northwest of Berwyn. Clyde is survived by his wife Pearl of Broken Bow, daughter Lois (Gary ) Clay of Broken Bow, son Ivan Loy of Ft. Collins, CO, four grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Clay of Broken Bow, Tammy (Chris) Neel of McCook, Derek (Shelly) Clay of Broken Bow, and Brittany (Daniel) McDermott of Coralville, IA; 5 great grandchildren JoAnn and James Neel, Kolten and Bayler Clay, and Scott McDermott;, two sister in laws Bernice Loy of Cairo, NE, and Doris Chelewski of Rifle, CO and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Kenneth, Chester Jr., Cecil, and Glenn, and sisters: Mildred, Helen, Pauline, and Mabel.
