Broken Bow, NE- Deb Thompson, age 55 of Broken Bow, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her home near Broken Bow, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Pastor Craig Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 8 AM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends 6 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials have been established to the family.
Debra June Anderson was born on June 16, 1958 at Broken Bow, NE to Ival and Charlotte (Marshall) Anderson. She grew up in the Ansley area and graduated from Ansley High School in 1976. Deb was married to Herbert Thompson on April 15, 1978.
Deb is survived by her husband Herb, of Broken Bow, her mother Charlotte Anderson of Ansley, sisters Ladene (Wayne) Hammond of Broken Bow, Louella (Tom) Leggett of Berwyn, and Dottie (Dave) Shoemaker of Gregory, SD, Special friends, Stacey (Dave) Mattox and Sunshine Hammond all of Broken Bow, and a sister in law Marilyn (Chuck) Vinnedge of Oakland City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister Beth Brandt.
