Julia Ann Eichelberger age 49 of Broken Bow passed away Saturday, September 28th 2013 at her home. Julie was born December 31st, 1963 at Callaway Hospital to Terry and Marge Eichelberger. Julie grew up in Broken Bow where she attended school until she was a junior. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1981. At a young age Julie was diagnosed with a rare heart condition and later with diabetes. Even though she struggled with this throughout her life she never lost her love of life or her love for her family. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family and friends. Julie also loved watching Nebraska football, pro football, and NASCAR. She also enjoyed working at the City Café, Huckleberry’s, and Pizza Hut. Julie is survived by her father Terry Eichelberger and her step-mother Fredi of Oconto; her sister Tami Johnson of Bertrand and her special friend Roy Krings; Step-sister Gina Seybold and her husband Troy of Wilcox; niece Erin Jensen and her husband Brad of Holdrege; nephews Tana Tallon and his wife Stacia of Hill City, SD and Shawn Tallon and Alicia Bahlm of Kearney; great-niece Kaylee Newman of Holdrege; great-nephew’s Taylor and Brody and great-niece Madeline of Hill City, SD. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Rev. Roger McDermott officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery at a later date. A viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday 8 AM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends 6 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Foundation.
