Lena Elvina Bratton died October 2,2013 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow.Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday October 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mason City Cemetery at Mason City, NE. Visitation will be held Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Interment will be in the Mason City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ascera Care Hospice. Lena Elvina (Bradley) Bratton was born July 3, 1924 in Dolthan,Huston County, Alabama to carrie (Richardson) and Perry Bradley. carrie and Perry had three children Lena, Robert and Marion. When Lena was about eleven years old her daddy passed away. She had to quit school to care for her brother and sister so Carrie could work to feed the family. Carrie met and married Henry Edgar and Lena gained two sisters June and Jean Edgar. Also, to this union, she evetually gained step brothers Stewart, Charles, Johnny and Ballard. Lena married Elvin Harvey Bratton on September 6, 1947 and to this union she had five children Clarence, Jimmy, Daniel, Tom and Linda. After twenty five years of marriage she divorced Elvin and never remarried. She is preceded in death by her son Jimmy, her ex husband Elvin, step brother Ballard, sister marion, brother Robert, step father Henry, mother Carrie, and father Perry. She is mourned by her sons Clarence (Mitch) and wife Charlene and grandson Charlie, daniel and wife Linda, granddaughter LaReina and grandson Nicholas Bratton, son Tommy and wife Terry, and grandsons Jeremy and Michael Bratton. Daughter Linda and husband Scott Dreith, grandson Joey, grandaughter Sunny and husband Mark Detty and grandson Christopher Dreith and many more great grandchildren, neices and nephews and friends.
