Kearney, NE- Betty Brisbin Miller, age 82 of Kearney, formerly of Hazard and Ansley, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Homestead Assisted Living in Kearney.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the 1st Christian Church in Ansley with Rev. Mel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Sunday, at Govier Bros. Mortuary, 1 PM to 6 PM with the family greeting friends 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Asera Care Hospice.
Betty was born on November 22, 1930 to Clarence and Anna (Fox) Holland at Berwyn, Nebraska. She was married to Hank Brisbin on May 31, 1955 at Ansley, NE. The family made their home in Ansley. Mr. Brisbin died in November of 1982. Betty later married Leslie Miller on October 21, 1989 in Kansas. They made their home near Hazard, Nebraska. Mr. Miller died in September of 2008. Betty worked for 22 years at the Becton Dickinson plant in Broken Bow.
Betty is survived by son Henry (Kathy) Brisbin Jr. of Kearney, NE, Arthur “Buster” Thompson of Grand Island; Step Sons, Alvin “Butch” Brisbin of Kearney, NE, Stacie Miller of Gibbon, NE, Weslie (Judy) Miller of Gibbon, NE; Step Daughters, Valerie (Chris) Ruda of Canton, GA and Candie Bubak of Kearney, NE; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Margo) Holland of Wasilla, AK, Bill (Barb) Holland of Broken Bow, and a sister, Margie (Grant) Schnase of Ansley, NE.
