Duane L. Amm age 71 of Callaway died November 13, 2013 at his home near Callway.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Shrine Hospital for Children in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Duane L. Amm was born on February 22, 1942 in rural Custer County to Homer and Lena J. (Esch) Amm.
Duane is survived by his wife Reba (Cliffton) of rural Broken Bow, daughter Denise Poland and husband Jeff of Kearney, NE, son Daryl Amm of Kearney, daughter Darlene Wardyn and husband Todd of Litchfield, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Dean Amm and wife Gaylene of Oconto.
Duane lived his entire life on the family farm, east of Callaway. He graduated from Callaway High School in 1960. On May 29, 1961 he was married to Reba Cliffton in Mason City, NE.
Duane owned and operated Amm Well Service for 30 years, and farmed and ranched.
Duane thoroughly enjoyed living on the farm and restoring Model T’s. Many friendships were formed as a result of his Model T passion. He belonged to two Model T clubs. Duane also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially teaching them to ski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in law and his daughter Deann Amm.
