Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the 1st Baptist Church in Mason City, Nebraska with Reverend Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in the Mason City Cemetery. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Dorothy Adams was born on March 22, 1928 near Mason City, NE to James and Olive (Crosley) Schall. She attended Basin School and graduated from Mason City High School in 1946. She was married to Glenn W. Adams on February 8, 1948 in Broken Bow. The family farmed in the Callaway area for 6 years before moving to a farm near Mason City, where they farmed until 1970. They then moved into Mason City and operated a feed store and trucking business. Mr. Adams died in 1987. Mrs. Adams continued to live in Mason City. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Barbara Gibbs of Thousand Oaks, CA, Nancy (George) Kucera of Litchfield, NE, and Mary Jane (Myron) Beck of La Crescenta, CA, a daughter in law; Vir Jean Adams of Ainsworth, NE, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, her 4 brothers; Norman Schall of Loup City, Robert Schall Broken Bow, Eldon Schall of Litchfield, Lyle Schall of Broken Bow, and a sister Phyllis Baltz of Loup City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Roger, grandson Jason, and two brothers Kenneth and Dale.
