Laura Schroeder

Laura Rae Schroeder, age 66, of Broken Bow, Ne. died Friday January 10, 2014 at the Custer Care 2 facility in Broken Bow. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday January 19th at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow from 2 to 4 p.m. Inurnment will be in the Elwood Cemetery in Elwood, Nebraska at a later date. Govier Brothers Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be offered to either Custer Care 2 or the Alzheimer’s association. Laura is survived by her sisters Joyce Larsen of Broken Bow, and Karen (Jerry) Over of Smith Mt. Lake, Virginia, and a brother Donald Schroeder of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her parents. Laura Rae Schroeder was born October 17, 1947 in Lexington, Nebraska to Howard A and Velma (Keller) Schroeder. They lived in Elwood, Nebraska and Laura attended grade school in Elwood for 4 years. Laura later attended the State School in Cozad until from 1958 to 1965. In 1965 moved to Broken Bow and began her association with CARC and later with Mid Nebraska from 1971 to present. Laura has lived the past 2 years at Custer Care 2 in Broken Bow.
