Neil Patrick Drake

Comstock, NE- Neil P. Drake, age 24 of Comstock, died Sunday January 26, 2014 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt and Father Frank Schuster officiating. Burial will be in the Lee Park Cemetery west of Arcadia. A wake service will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 PM at the church. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. A visitation will be held on Friday 8 AM until 5 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary and 5 to 7 PM at the church. Neil Patrick Drake was born on January 11, 1990 at Kearney, NE to Kevin and Cindy (O’Neill) Drake. Neil graduated from Anselmo-Merna High School in 2008. Neil participated in high school rodeo, state rodeo, and bareback riding. He loved horses and working with cattle. Neil is survived by his mother Cindy (Bump) Markham of Merna, his father Kevin (Sheryl) Drake of Comstock, his fiancé Cassidy Blotske of Comstock, his sisters; Alyssa Boyd of Merna, Tara Dunbar of Plainview, NE, Reba Clamp of Minneapolis, MN, his brothers; Ryan Boyd of Merna, Matt Markham of Omaha, his grandparents; Alan Drake of Comstock, Jim and Karen O’Neill of Sargent, Frank Fuss of Ord, uncle, Ken (Tracy) Drake of Sargent, aunt Tami Mannlein of Sargent. He was preceded in death by his grandma Zelda Drake, his grandma Sharon Fuss, and uncle Mike Mannlein.
