Catherine Faye Doty - Case

Catherine Faye Doty Case passed March 22, 2014 from injuries sustained in a car accident near Douglas, WY. Memorial services will be held Saturday March 29th, 11am at the Faith Fellowship Church, 600 West Chug Water in Guernsey, WY and Monday, March 31st at 10 am at Govier Bros Mortuary, 542 South 9th Ave in Broken Bow, NE with burial at Broken Bow Cemetery following. Cathy's friends, old and new, are invited to come help the family in celebrating her life and share a favorite story or memory of her. Cathy was born September 15, 1956 in Fremont, NE as the first child of Jack and Judy Doty. When Cathy was five the family moved to Broken Bow, NE where she graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1974. Cathy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, canning, camping, and cooking. Cathy had many dear friends including those in Guernsey, WY where she had been living for the past several years, and in Decorah, IA where she lived for several years prior to her moving to Wyoming. Cathy is survived by her two children: Christina (Matt) Pedersen and Andrew (fiancée Morgan) Case, both of Casper, WY. Her three cherished grandchildren: Faith and Lane Pedersen and Brodie Case. Her mother: Judy Doty, Decorah, IA, siblings: Jennifer (Mark) Olson, Decorah, IA, Mike (Janice) Doty, Abingdon, VA, Sandy (Chad) Novak, Highlands Ranch, CO and Lori (Kenny) Thiele, Aurora, NE and several nieces and nephews. Cathy perished together with James “Jim” Cannon, her long time friend and companion. Cathy was preceded in death by her father Jack Doty in 1986, her nephew Jack Novak in 2003, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Cathy was loved deeply by her family, she will be missed.
