Theodore “Ted” Lee Esch, 66, of Broken Bow, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Reverend Todd Karges officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3rd from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm with family visitation from 6-7 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Ted was born on December 5, 1947 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Peter and Charlotte (Oxford) Esch. Ted married Crystal Hardy on June 2, 1979. To this union Ted brought two children Amber and Trent and later three daughters were added LaCosta, Belinda, and Natasha. Ted was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren for tractor rides. Ted enjoyed all family activities and watching his grandkids in their sports activities. He will always be remembered by most for his teasing and constant laughs. He is survived by his wife Crystal; son Trent; daughters Amber Evans and her husband Mike, Belinda Chaplin and her husband Jason, and Natasha Dalby and her husband Josh. Seven grandchildren – Jayden Esch, Hannah Evans, Josey Evans, Brice Chaplin, Brinlee Chaplin, Dagon Dalby, and Darbie Dalby. His sisters Sonia (Jay) Richeson and Patty (Larry) Reed. Sister-in-laws Barb (Rob) Pellor, Natalie (Kyle) Russell, Evelyne (Dave) Christen, and Brother-in-law Dan (Linda) Hardy. Father and mother-in-law Wayne and Bette Hardy. Numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Ted was preceded in death by his daughter LaCosta, his parents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
