Twilla E. Hyatt, age 84, of Broken Bow, Ne. died Monday August 4, 2014 at Heritage Hall Care Home in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 9th at 10:30 a.m. in Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Jerry Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary with family greeting friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial will be determined at a later date. Twilla E. Hyatt is survived by a daughter Della and husband Floyd (Mick) Treffer of Grand Island. A son Delwin (Buz) and wife Verla Hyatt of of O”Neill, Ne., a sister in law Fern Carpenter Schmidt of Seward, Ne. 5 grandchildren. 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grand child. She was preceded in death by her husband Dellis in Nov. of 2013. parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 grandson. Twilla was born June 26, 1930 in Custer County to Fred L. and Beulah Fern (Garrett) Carpenter Sr. On December 13, 1947 she married Dellis Hyatt in Ord. They made their home in Broken Bow for many years.
