Joyce LaVerna McCaslin

Joyce Laverna McCaslin age 81 of Broken Bow died August 27, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Pastor Larry DeMoss officiating. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later. Joyce McCaslin was born on February 7, 1933 at Broken Bow, NE to Roy and Cleone Mae (Mentzer) Eberle. Joyce was married to Dan McCaslin. Survivors include her husband Dan of Broken Bow, three daughters Cathleen Leverington of Broken Bow, Maureen Dickson of North Richland Hills, TX, and Michaelle (Donald) Barnes of Azle, TX. One son William (Kay) McCaslin of North Richland Hills, TX. One sister Jean Myers of Broken Bow. One brother Tom (Pat) Eberle of Broken Bow. eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Cleone Eberle, one grandson Jay Routh and one brother Jerry Eberle. Joyce lived her life for her family. In her earlier years she cooked, worked in her vegetable garden and grew beautiful flowers. She always wanted to know what was going on in your life and that you were doing ok. Of course the conversation was never without her wise advise. Joyce was loved by all who knew her. Mom/Grandma you will be forever missed!
