Broken Bow, NE – Lyle Mattox age 80 of Broken Bow, died Sunday September 7, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Pastor Larry DeMoss officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 1 PM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends 6 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Lyle Joseph Mattox was born on May 13, 1934 in Broken Bow, NE to Everett and Viola (Sells) Mattox. Lyle attended Broken Bow Schools and graduated from Broken Bow High School. Lyle was married to Eileen Derman on December 10, 1959. Lyle is survived by his son Monte Mattox of Berwyn, daughter Carla Mattox of Broken Bow, NE, 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers; Everett “Sonny” Mattox of Maquoketa,Iowa, Cecil (Shirley) Mattox of Broken Bow, Steve Mattox of Callaway, sisters; Ruby Plambeck of Edison, Washington, Hazel Close of Boise, Idaho, Judy (Ray) Lunkwitz, of North Platte. He was preceded in death by his Parents, wife Eileen, a brother Jack and a sister
