Zellamarie (Jo) Stych, age 90, of Broken Bow died Sunday October 19, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow.
Memorial funeral services will be held Thursday October 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Broken Bow with Minister Kathy Salts officiating. Inurnment will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
A register book and photos will be present Wednesday October 22nd at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Community Connection in Broken Bow.
Zellamarie Stych was born February 14, 1924 in Ansley, Ne. to Vern and Louise (Kaelin) Hayes. She graduated from Ansley High School. On Feb. 24, 1946 she married Henry Stych in Ansley. Two children were born to this marriage, Rex and Janice. They made their home in Cordova, Ne. Later they moved with work to Milford, Ne. and then in 1970 moved to Broken Bow, Ne. Henry died in December of 2007.
Mrs. Stych was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Broken Bow, and was active in the Broken Bow Does and American Legion Auxiliary.
Jo Stych is survived by her daughter Janice Martin of Beatrice, Ne. a son Rex Stych of Broken Bow. 1 grandson Zachary Martin and wife Emily Price. 2 great grandchildren Nolan and Wesley. Sisters Reva Skeen of Broken Bow, Elaine Hanshew of Ansley, and Pearl Plambeck of Broken Bow, and a brother Ralph Hayes of Granby, Col. and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, and brother Larry.
