Gary Kranz

Oconto, NE- Gary L. Kranz, age 42 of Oconto, died Friday January 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Oconto Community Center in Oconto with Pastor Lawrence Francis officiating. Burial will be in the Oconto Cemetery. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 8 AM to 8 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the family. Gary Lee Kranz was born on April 9, 1972 to Dwain and Delores (Eckard) Kranz at Atkinson, NE. He grew up near Eddyville and attended Sumner Eddyville Miller School. Gary farmed and ranched with his family on the Kranz Farms near Eddyville. On July 13, 2000 he was married to Stephanie Ray at Holdrege, NE. Two daughters were born; Heather and Beth. They made their home on the family farm. Gary’s family was very important to him. He attended all of their activities and took his girls everywhere. Gary also enjoyed getting together with his friends at “Deer Camp”. Gary is survived by his wife Stephanie, two daughters Heather and Beth all of Oconto, his parents Dwain and Delores Kranz of Eddyville, brother in-law Jason Fredericks of Holdrege, and his mother in-law Monica Ray of Holdrege. He was preceded in death by his infant brother John Mark and a brother Ronald Eugene.
