George Norman Mandeville, age 90, of Dunning passed away on February 1, 2015. Born in Mullen, Nebraska to Robert G. and Ruth A. (Ferguson) Mandeville on March 12, 1924. Married Zelda Josephine Little on February 15, 1947. George was a veteran (Marine), rancher and retired U.S. Forest Service Range Manager. A member of the VFW, American Legion and the Custer Masonic Lodge 148 Broken Bow. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.
George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Mandeville and wife Zelda (Little) Mandeville. Survived by his children Linda (Leonard) Cowdin of Lincoln, George (Billie) Mandeville Jr., Gillette Wyoming, Sheri (Wayne) Rodocker, Halsey; grandchildren Eric (Christine) Cowdin, Indianapolis Indiana, Thayne (Trish) Rodocker, Halsey, Dani Mandeville, North Platte, Sally (Paul) Hoos, Grand Island, Brad Mandeville, Gillette Wyoming, B J Mandeville, Buffalo, Wyoming; great grandchildren, Shayne, Tjade and Sheven Rodocker, MacKenzie, Miranda, Isabelle and Sammi Hoos and Mary Cowdin. Brothers Albert (Dorothy) Mandeville, Harlingen Texas and Robert Mandeville, North Platte, Sister-in-law Deloris (Rice) Mandeville, Broken Bow and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6th at the United Church of Christ in Halsey and burial at Purdum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5 at Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow.
