Grant Schnase

Ansley, NE- Grant L. Schnase, age 90 of Ansley, died Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM the First Christian Church in Ansley, NE with Reverend Mel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 7, 3:00 PM to 5 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary and Sunday February 8, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Ansley. Memorials may be given to the family. Grant Leroy Schnase was born on April 17, 1924 to William and Myrtle (Rogers) Schnase at Litchfield, NE. On June 10, 1951 he was married to Margy Ann Holland. To this union 11 children were born. Grant is survived by his wife Margy of Ansley, children; Merna (Carl) Snell of Aurora, NE, Kathy Schnase and friend Gilbert of Minatare, NE, Rose Sample of Ansley, Gerald (Sue) Schnase of Torrington, WY, Gene Schnase of Broken Bow, Helen (Mark) Linder of Oregon, WI, Julie (Brad) Wells of Palmer, NE, Bill (Teresa) Schnase of Grand Island, NE, Eldon Schnase of Broken Bow, Lori Tucker and friend Richard of Stapleton, NE, a son-in-law Tom Barta of Valentine, NE, 44 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, sisters; Leona Kluna, of Grand Island, Juanita Szafrajda of Gibbon, NE, and Winona Piontkowski of Grand Island, a brother Carl Schnase of Sparks, NV. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Barta, grandson Jason Samples, his parents, brothers; John and Bill, sisters; Doris Cleland, Myrtle Kuligowski, and Lois Kuligowski.
