Garden City, KS- Punch Howard age 62 of Garden City, KS formerly of Broken Bow area, died Thursday February 26, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Rev. Andrew Black officiating. A time for greeting friends and family will be held on Sunday afternoon 4 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Punch Howard was born to E.B and Georgia Howard on January 13th, 1953. He died February 26, 2015, in Garden City KS, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by lifelong best friend Jessica Howard of Lincoln NE, companion Zi of Garden City KS, his brother Craig Howard of Omaha, sister Margaret Dady and husband Steve of Grand Island, son Clint Howard and daughter Casey of Sterling CO; daughter Carrie Byam and husband Kenis of Nowata OK, their sons, Cole and Chase, and many loving friends and family.
Punch was known best for his way with horses, his fearless nature, and his good-time giggle. Punch collected good friends and good horses in equal measure with his favorite times being spent on the back of a horse or gathered with friends.
Whether spinning tales at ranch rodeos, picking up broncs, tending to cattle, or caring for all animals, big and small, Punch loved his life.

finished the race. I
have kept the faith."
A true cowboy right up until the end.
