Daniel Vohland

November 15, 1961 — February 25, 2015

Daniel Lee Vohland, 53, passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his home near Minden. An open house celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 14th at the Broken Bow Country Club from 3-5PM. Anyone who knew Dan or any of his family are welcome to come. Dan was born November 15th, 1961 with his twin brother Dave to Vance and Nancy Vohland in Broken Bow, NE. Dan graduated from Broken Bow High School and attended college at the University of South Dakota. Dan and his siblings grew up in the Broken Bow area where he was recognized for his charismatic personality and his yellow and black ‘67 Camaro. Dan never met a stranger, always had a smile to give, and he loved all things outdoors. Dan married Kim Fuller on January 11th, 1992. Together, they bore a daughter, Brittany Ann Vohland, who arrived later that year. Dan’s greatest love was for his daughter and the two shared a very special bond. They often spent many times together in the outdoors, from fishing and camping to chopping wood for his stove, while Brittany went out “adventuring” with her BB gun. Dan was an incredibly hard worker as a ranch hand and was kind to everyone he met. Dan worked diligently to instill these beliefs of loving others to his daughter and everyone he came across. Dan is survived by; daughter, Brittany Vohland of Lincoln; father,Vance of Broken Bow; sister, Susan (Willard) Withers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Sally (Ron) Leifert of Lincoln. Dan was preceded in death by his brother, David Vohland, and his mother, Nancy.
