Stephen Joyce

Stephen T. Joyce, age 61 of Alliance formally of Broken Bow died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday April 2, 2015 at his home in Alliance. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday April 9, 2015 at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating. A register book may be signed during visitation Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Broken Bow. Survivors of the immediate family include his mother, Winifred Joyce of Broken Bow; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet Coffman of Ansley, and Julie and Tim Kettleborough of Hastings; nieces and nephews, Amber, Jesse (Marcy), Ammie (Roger), Ashly (Isaac), and Dustin. Stephen was born February 14, 1954, in Manchester England to Thomas and Winifred (Shepherd) Joyce. He attended Broken Bow High School and graduated in 1973. After graduating Stephen worked various jobs and then began his career in 1977 with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vintage cars, traveling and photography. He is proceeded in death by his father Thomas Joyce and his brother Gary. Memorials may be made to the family
