Broken Bow, NE- Joy Fuller age 63 of Broken Bow died Monday June 29, 2015 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
Funeral services will be held at the One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00AM with Police Chaplain Bobby Payne officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Sargent, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday at Goviers Mortuary 10:00am to 8:00pm with the family greeting friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Memorials will be decided at a later date.
Joy Ann Bailey was born October 6, 1951 in Sargent to Karl and Nola Grim Bailey. She grew up in the Custer County area and attended school in Ansley.
Joy Married Jerry Fuller on August 17, 1969. To this union, three children were born, Kimberlee, Kristina and Jason. While raising her family, she worked at Becton Dickinson and resided in Broken Bow for 30 years until she retired in 2007.
Joy enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and friends. She would always be seen at football, volleyball, softball games, concerts and 4-H events for her grandkids. She also had a great love of fishing.
Joy was devastated when she lost her husband, Jerry in 2002. Despite this she continued to help others even through her own battle with cancer. She took others to their doctor appointments, brought them meals. If anyone had a need, Joy was there to fulfill it.
She is survived by daughters Kimberlee and Terry Mustion of Cambridge, Kristina and Neil Spanel of Anselmo, and son Jason and Ashley Fuller of Kearney. Grandchildren Brittany, Hunter, Riley, Seth, Jesica, Jayleigh and Addison. Siblings Cheryl and Phil Smith, Neil Bailey, Jacki and Johnny Clark, Tom and Irene Bailey, Nels and d’Aun Sorenson and Angel and Lynn Thomas, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
