John Birnie

John M. Birnie, age 91, of Broken Bow passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow surrounded by family. Funeral services for John M. Birnie will be held on July 2, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow, NE at 2:00pm with Reverend Dawn Black and Jan Dobesh officiating. Burial will be at the Broken Bow Cemetery with military Rites. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 1st from 1PM to 8PM at the First Presbyterian Church Broken Bow, with family greeting friends from 6PM to 8PM. Memorials may be given to the family to be decided on a later date. John is survived by his wife Marian Birnie of Broken Bow. Daughter Roberta (Rod) Olson of Merna. 2 sons David (Joan) Birnie of Broken Bow, and Tim (Emily) Birnie of Minden, Nebraska. 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a brother Lon Birnie of Callaway, Ne. and two sisters Katherine Palmer of Berwyn, Ne., and Grace Birnie of Broken Bow John is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, two brothers, granddaughter, and 2 great granddaughters.
