Frances Roemer

Broken Bow, NE- Frances Roemer age 87 of Broken Bow died Thursday July 2, 2015 at Custer Care Center in Broken Bow. Visitation for Frances Roemer will be held on Monday morning July 6, 2015 at 9:00 AM until service time at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held at 10:00 AM at the church with the funeral services to follow at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Frances Roemer was born on June 17, 1927 at Oconto, NE to James and Catherine (McKenzie) Curren. Frances graduated from Oconto High School. She later worked at Boys Town for Father Flanagan. She then moved to California where she worked for Boeing Aircraft Company. Frances is survived by one daughter Patricia Vancook of North Hollywood, California. She was preceded in death by three children Jerry, Jay, and Jeannie, her parents James and Catherine Curren, brothers Gerald Curren and Joseph Curren, sisters Regina Brezina, and Sister Mary Curren, and two infant sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband Marty Roemer.
