Grand Island, NE- Jeannette “Jean” Collinson Williams, age 80 of Grand Island, formerly of Broken Bow, died Tuesday July 28, 2015 at the CHI-St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Memorial services will be held on Monday August 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Berean Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Tyce Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. A register book may be signed at Govier Bros. Mortuary.
Jeannette “Jean” Collinson Williams was born on November 24, 1934 to Henry and Marie (Nelson) Pracht. Jean graduated from Broken Bow High School. She was married to Leroy Collinson on February 18, 1953. The couple farmed west of Broken Bow. Mr. Collinson died on May 24, 1999. Through the years Jean worked side by side with Leroy farming. Jean continued to live on the farm for a while before moving to Ord, NE. She later moved to Kearney, NE and then to Country House Residences in Grand Island.
Jean enjoyed the outdoors, camping, riding her four wheeler, and fishing. She also enjoyed sewing. Jean loved her dog Scooter.
In earlier years, Jean and Leroy enjoyed drag racing.
Jean is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, and her many siblings.
