Becky Neth

Rebecca (Becky) Jane Neth was born February 27, 1933, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to Alice Brock and Lynn Lowe. She passed away on September 23, 2015, in Joplin, MO. She grew up in Broken Bow and attended Broken Bow High School where she was active in the band. She married Gerry (Gerald) Neth on October 23, 1950. They remained in the Broken Bow area where three children, Lynnda, Edward and Nancy, were born. In 1957 they relocated to Wichita, Kansas. . In 1972 Becky and Gerry moved back to Broken Bow where they engaged in dairy farming and then raising cattle until Gerry’s death in November of 1997. She attended the Broken Bow United Methodist Church and sang in the choir and participated in the bell choir. Becky also worked part-time at the Ben Franklin store in Broken Bow. She moved to Joplin, Missouri in 2001 due to health issues and to be . Becky is lovingly remembered by her children Lynnda (Dan) Schoen, Sioux Falls, SD; Ed (Reesa) Neth, Conway, Arkansas; and Nancy Casper, Joplin, MO. She will be missed by her 5 grandchildren Kimberly Winger (Manassas Park, VA), Julie (David) Erickson, Brookings, SD; David (Kari) Neth, Lincoln, NE; Jennifer Casper, Joplin, MO, and step-grandson Nate (Candi) Schoen, Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. A memorial service for Becky will be held at the Broken Bow United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Broken Bow United Methodist Church.
