Ronnie Brandt

Mason City, NE- Ronnie Ross Brandt, age 68 of rural Mason City, died Thursday December 31, 2015 near Miller, NE. Memorial services will be held on Thursday January 7, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Pastor Matthew Wolf officiating. Burial will be in the Box Elder Cemetery near Cumro, NE. A visitation will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2015, 8 AM to 8 PM, with the family greeting friends 6:30 PM to 8 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the family. Ronnie was born on April 4, 1947 at Lexington, NE to David R. and Wilma (Jochem) Brandt. He farmed with his parents north of Elm Creek, NE until 1961. The family then moved to the farm near Mason City, where Ronnie made his home. In Ronnie’s later years he worked for Dale Zoerb. Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and taking trips on his motorcycle. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, David R. Brandt, sister in-law Beth Brandt, and an infant great nephew Avery Peasley. Survivors include his mother, Wilma Brandt of Westerville, siblings; Luella (Donnie) Barger of Riverdale, Lonnie (Brenda) Brandt of Westerville, Viola (Dale) Schroeder of Kenesaw, Tim Brandt of Pleasanton, Ramona (Mike) McDonald of Glenrock, WY, Karla (Phil) Rohde of Litchfield, Dixie (Monte) Scofield of Grand Island, and Penny Ruth of Wise River, MT, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many close friends.
