Louise Lydiatt
Broken Bow, NE- Helen Louise Lydiatt age 71 of Broken Bow formerly of Callaway, NE, died Saturday February 6, 2016 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Graveside services were held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway. Pastor Chad Boling officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of the arrangements.
Helen Louise Lydiatt was born on January 8, 1945 at Broken Bow to Dorlan and Isabelle (Brohman) Chadd. Louise grew up near Callaway and graduated from Callaway High School in 1963. Louise then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Louise was married to Larry Lydiatt in June of 1968. They made their home in Ashland, NE. They later divorced. Louise worked for many years at Zales Jewelry in Lincoln.
On December 9, 1983 Louise suffered a debilitating aneurysm. She spent the rest of her life in care facilities, with the last 8 years in Broken Bow.
The nurses at the facilities said that Louise was always happy, never complained, and would greet them with a big smile when they would check on her.
Louise is survived by her sister-in-law, Noma Chadd of Callaway, NE, and three nieces, Theresa (Brent) Blanchard of Rockwell, IA, Tanya (Randy) Kennedy of Norwood, CO, and Tammy (Grant) Chapin of Broken Bow, NE, eight great nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Darrell, and her brother Archie.
