William “Bill” Pearson 65 of Broken Bow passed peacefully June 1, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Bill was born January 12, 1951 in Valentine, NE to William and Jean Louise (Tyler) Pearson. The first years of his life were spent on the family ranch south of Valentine. He graduated from Broken Bow high School in 1969.
On September 20, 1969 he married Constance Lomax. Three children; Wade, Laurie, and Chris were great products of this union. On September 3, 1998 he married Cindy Schofield-Zullcoski.
Over the years Bill worked for Burlington Northern, Progressive Fertilizer, Summitcrest Ranch, Howard Transportation and the Custer County Highway Department.
Bill was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. His grandchildren put a twinkle in his eyes. He enjoyed following all of them to rodeos, roping, calf shows, 4-H activities, recitals, school events just to mention a few.
Bill is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Laurie (Randon) Peters of McCook, sons Wade (Michelle) Pearson of Oconto and Chris (Becky) Pearson of Broken Bow and former wife Connie Pearson of Broken Bow. Six grandchildren that he loved to the moon and back; Seth and Hannah Pearson, Ryland and Laney Peters, and Emma and Gracie Pearson.
He is also survived by sisters; Barb (Gary) McCormick of Springview and Conni (John) Grieser of Valentine and a brother; Mark (Linda) Pearson of Gibbon. Sisters-in-law Pam Pearson of Kearney, Barb (Russ) Longhorst of Brighton, Colorado and Janet Cuthje of Arcadia NE., Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Nadene Pearson, Ed and Jean Butterfield, grand parents, in-laws Bill Scofield, Mary Scofield and Bud Lomax, infant sibling and a niece Patty Mostek of Loup City.
Services will be held June 6, 2016, 2:00pm at Goviers Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, Nebraska with Wayne Bellville officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at Govier Brothers Chapel 1:00 to 6:00PM with family greeting friends from 4:00 to 6:00PM.
