Jerry Saner

Jerry F. Saner, age 73, of Broken Bow, Nebraska died July 6th, 2016 at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 9th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday July 8th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Memorials will go to the families’ choice. Jerry F. Saner was born September 11, 1942 in Dunning, Nebraska to Pearl and Jeanette (Wilson) Saner. He attended Dunning Schools. On January 31, 1969 Jerry married Linda Stewart of Broken Bow in Sterling, Colorado. Two children were born to this marriage, Chad and Lisa. Jerry lived made his home on the south edge of Broken Bow for 40 years. Jerry worked at Chapin’s Furniture and the Broken Bow Municipal Building for many years. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing, and metal detecting. Jerry is survived by his son Chad (Charlyn) Saner of Norfolk, Virginia, and daughter Lisa Saner and James Cristensen of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Three grandchildren Jordan Baruth, Junior Alcantar, Nicolette Saner. 5 sisters Ruth Nelson of Broken Bow, Lucille Barker of Broken Bow, Marilyn Swisher of Halsey, Fern Nelson of Thedford, and Freda Fiehler of Dunning. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Paul.
